President, Susan Michaud-Bosse

Susan Michaud-Bosse is the Senior Vice-President of PropSys, a Lewiston-based property management company which manages multi-family, elderly and commercial properties in Maine from Auburn to East Millinocket. She has worked for the owners of PropSys since 1979 and has had the opportunity to become in involved in many aspects of the business from bookkeeper to controller to her current position.

Susan has been involved with MREMA for several years serving as convention chair, vice president and president. She has recently been involved with the Toys for Tots and Teens and finds it a rewarding experience.

Vice President, Sheila Malynowski

Sheila Malynowski, President and CEO of Preservation Management, Inc. has over 35 years experience in the affordable housing industry. Her experience includes more than ten years with the Department of HUD during the production years of the Section 8 New Construction and Substantial Rehabilitation Programs. Sheila then spent twenty years at the New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority as Director of the Housing Management Division. As many federal housing program responsibilities were delegated to the states, Sheila led the Authority’s participation in FHA risk-share lending, Section 8 contract administration, tenant based Voucher Rental Assistance, Resident Services as a Benefit to Housing and Mark to Market underwriting. Her background gives Sheila a thorough understanding of the array of HUD and state agency programs.

In addition to work experience, Sheila has a BS in Business Management and MS in Administration. She is also an active affiliate of a number of national housing organizations.

Treasurer, Suzanne Raymond

Suzanne is the property manager at Thayer Parkway, an elderly housing property. She has worked for Dover-Foxcroft Housing Corporation (a non-profit organization) for nearly 15 years and is responsible for the overall management of the operation.

Suzanne loves her work and was proud to receive the USDA Rural Development State Director’s Award on September 18, 2001. Involved in community service, Suzanne volunteers through her local chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. At the state level, she is serving on the GFWC/Maine executive board as vice president. She has been involved with MREMA since 1997, whereby she has enjoyed the many training opportunities offered, and is serving her second term as treasurer. Suzanne is a founding member of Piscataquis TRIAD, an organization whose membership consists of law enforcement, seniors, and organizations serving seniors. TRIAD’S mission is to preserve independence, dignity, and rights, to reduce criminal victimization, exploitation, and abuse -- and to create a safe environment for older adults.

Married for 35 years, Suzanne and her husband have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Spending time with family is a favored activity and Suzanne also enjoys reading, quilting, knitting, and music.

Membership Committee Chair, Cathie Whitney

Catherine Whitney is the owner and chief operating officer of C & C Realty Management, LLC, an Augusta-based real estate management firm founded in 2003 and specializing in state and federally financed or assisted multi-family housing developments located across the State of Maine.

Cathie has worked in Maine’s housing industry since 1973, with experience that includes serving as the Maine State Housing Authority’s director for asset management and housing programs and co-managing a leading real estate development and management company. She offers considerable expertise in the field of assisted housing. She has demonstrated her commitment to the quality of housing opportunities to Maine’s low income elderly, disabled and families through participation with the Resident Services Coordination and Family Self Sufficiency programs and in 2007 launched a Tenant Education Program for residents of affordable housing.

Legislative Chair, Rosemary Moeykens

Rosemary has worked in affordable housing since 1979 when she joined the Maine State Housing Authority as a Program Assistant. She served as MSHA's Director of Management for ten years and Manager of Housing Preservation (preservation of affordable housing) from 1996 to 2002. She also worked as CEO of Realty Resources Management for 5 years. Currently, Rosemary is an Asset Manager for Avesta Housing.

Education/Training, Diane MacDonald

Diane has worked in the Property Management Industry since 1978. She joined Emerald Management as CFO in 2002. Prior to working for Emerald Management she worked as Vice President for Alpha Management responsible for all Sec .8 and Rural Development properties from construction through rent up plus managing approximately 500,000 sq.ft. of Office/Retail space; for Coastal Management as CFO and Director of Operations; York-Cumberland Housing as Deputy Director; and South Portland Housing Authority as Director of the Betsy Ross House - 100+ units of Congregate Housing. Diane has her COS & CHM from the National Center for Housing Management and CPMC with IREM.

Diane has been on the Board of Directors for MREMA since 1994 serving 4 terms as Treasurer (1994-2001) and as President from 2002-2004. She also works on the Conference Committee and the Toys for Tots Fundraising Committee. She was instrumental in putting together the first ever Tri-State Conference with New Hampshire and Vermont in 2002.

Website/Newsletter Chair, Wendy Ward

Wendy Ward has worked for PropSys, a Lewiston-based property management company, since 1998. She started as an assistant Property Manager and worked her way up to her current position as the Assistant Controller. She is both S.T.A.R. (Rural Development 515) certified and TaCCs (LIHTC) certified. In addition to her work experience, Wendy has a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Maine.

Ex-Officio, John Desjardins

John has worked for Federal Management Co. as a Property Manager for the past 26 years. He has been a site manager for all of the 26 years working his way up through the ranks. He has received through IREM, Institute of Real Estate Management, his ARM, Accredited Resident Manager, designation in 1982. He was the President of MREMA in 1993 and 1994. He has chaired the Convention committee and Toys for Tots and Teens committee for numerous years. He has also held the position of Vice President of MREMA.
